Lab Facilities :
Laboratories:
[1] Electrical workshop : This laboratory is used to impart the practical knowledge to the students about the wiring, winding of transformers and machines. This workshop is the very important not only for the students of Electrical Engineering branch but also for the students of other engineering branches.
[2] Electrical Machines Lab : This laboratory imparts the knowledge about characteristics and behavior of the DC and AC Machines. This is the core lab for the Electrical Engineering branch and the ancillary for ECE and Mechanical branches.
[3] Control System Lab : The Lab introduces students to fundamental control systems theory with emphasis on design and implementation. Design and implementation for this course is done using MATLAB software with control system toolbox to undergo the experiments like open loop and closed loop system. The lab was well furnished with the equipments like AC and DC servomotor, synchros, position control system, Controller design kit. The lab provides the facility to analyze the stability of the system.
[4] Measurements and Instrumentation Lab : This laboratory imparts the knowledge to find unknown resistance, inductance and capacitance through the bridge circuits.
[5] Power Electronics Lab : It consists of different kinds of demo kits such as SCR characteristics, study kit for D.C motor control using chopper. The lab is equipped with all the power electronic converters, DSP and FPGA based DC and AC Drives, Digital Integrated kits, Power supplies etc.
[6] Power System Simulation Lab : This lab is well equipped with MATLAB comprising tool boxes like Neural Network, Fuzzy logic, Control System, Power System etc., which integrates the mathematical computing visualization, and a powerful language to provide a flexible environment for technical computing, PSPICE to design a electronic circuits.

Activities of the Department
• Lectures delivered by renowned academicians and scientists to augment the students knowledge. Industrial visits regularly organized by the department to supplement the theoretical background of students.
• In-plant training for students which bestows them with hands-on-exposure. Expert guidance imparted through lectures and workshops to enrich students communication skills and to refine their personality.
• Technical sessions for students to interact and exchange their views on topics of interest are being conducted regularly.
